How to Whitelist in Gmail
Gmail doesn't have a button labeled "Whitelist," so the most effective way to ensure an email always hits your inbox is by creating a filter.
- Open Settings: Click the Gear Icon in the top right corner and select See all settings.
- Filters and Blocked Addresses: Click on the tab labeled Filters and Blocked Addresses, then click Create a new filter.
- Enter the Email: In the From field, type the specific email address or the domain (e.g.,
@company.com) you want to whitelist. - Create Filter: Click Create filter at the bottom of the window.
- Set Actions: Check the box for Never send it to Spam. If it’s a high-priority sender, you can also check Always mark it as important.
- Save: Click Create filter again to confirm.
Pro Tip: If you find a legitimate email already in your Spam folder, simply open it and click Report not spam. Gmail will learn your preference over time.

- Navigate to Junk Email: Go to Mail > Junk email.
- Add Safe Senders: Under the Safe senders and domains header, click + Add.
- Input Address: Type the email address or domain you wish to whitelist and press Enter.
- Save: Don’t forget to hit the Save button at the bottom of the page.
